Another Failed Attempt?

Yes, hello, I am back over here at PAJE. It's a slight bummer but at the same time a blessing, and I'll explain all that in a second. First off I just wanted to say a big sorry for any confusion this is causing; making up my mind has not been a thing I've been able to do the past year or two. Second, I wanted to say an even bigger THANK YOU to all those that are enjoying my posts, following me to my various platforms, and generally support me and what I do. You guys make everything worth it in the end, so thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart. With that being said, let's get onto the changes and what's going on.

So, Planet Sugar. Another failed attempt at my own website? Yes and no. It worked, and worked well (thank god for pre-made layouts, amirite?). I spent 18 hours straight for 4 days working on it, so it wasn't for lack of trying. At the end I had over one thousand unique visits, and I was getting traffic in the blog. The store worked great, everything was secure....So what was the problem? If you haven't seen my latest video, you haven't heard my thoughts on it yet. To make it short and sweet, it wasn't paying for itself. The amount of time I had to put into it (and yes, I did neglect it since August 3rd for personal reasons), with the amount of money I had to put into it (honestly it was pennies. The domain itself was only $15.), it just wasn't worth it. I really did love the site, I loved having a place to call entirely my own on the internet. But the vision I had for it wasn't coming to fruition, and life itself was taking a different turn. A lot of unexpected things happened, and a site just isn't something I can have on my plate at the moment. Going back to sub-domains on someone else's platform just makes things that much easier for me. I don't have to worry about bugs, or updates, or figuring out my own coding. Blogger does that for me. Thanks, Blogger.

So, where am I going from here? My blog of course, will remain here at PAJE. I've technically had this blog for almost 10 years, though it has gone though many face lifts since. Though at times it can be hard for me to write a blog post, for whatever reason at the time, I do want this to remain fairly active, at least for myself. I'll be posting some close ups of my art, in much better quality than Instagram, as soon as I can. My first mission is to see if the quality is better from my phone, or my actual scanner.

Speaking of scanner; If you've been paying close attention, you'll know I was at one point promising free downloadable stickers and the like. That will still be happening! Please be patient while I try to figure out exactly "how", but they will be coming!

I will also be eventually putting out a site that people will be able to order art prints. At the moment I've only been able to find a site that charges monthly, so I would need to sell at least one small print to make it all worth it. So as I try to find better alternatives to a good printing and shipping company, I will be using the 30 day trial. I will let everyone know as soon as the site is totally live, and prints are available.

And I think that is about it to get everyone all caught up. I did lose one blog post on Planet Sugar, but I did think to grab my coffee story, so it's here now for those that haven't read it yet.

I hope this all hasn't been too much of a pain (I'm really working on this whole 'decision making/staying-in-one-spot' thing) and I hope to see you all here some more in the future!
